Screenshots, not case studies

Anyone can write a case study. Below is what we actually have: unedited screenshots out of client dashboards and inboxes, the reviews people left of their own accord, and a plain account of what these do and do not prove.

No graphs we drew ourselves. No numbers you cannot see the source of.

How to read a marketing screenshot properly

Check the date range on each one
The period is stated in the screenshot itself and it is not the same on all of them — some are a month, some cover a longer run. We have not normalised them into a tidy uniform window, because that would mean editing the source.
Look for the metric, not the arrow
Profile views going up is nearly meaningless. Calls, direction requests and website enquiries are the ones that turn into fee income.
Ask what is cropped out
We crop nothing except the client's name and any account identifiers. If a figure looks odd, ask us on the call and we will pull the live account up.
Most of what follows is from professional practices and local service businesses across our whole client base, not accountants alone. We would rather say that than imply three hundred accountancy firms.
The three that show

Top of the map pack, and the profile behind it

Each one is a practice sitting first in its local results, its Google profile, and the thirty-day performance panel from the same account. Scroll sideways — they are shown large enough to read.

Everest Accountants at the top of the Manchester map pack, with Google profile and performance panel
Everest Accountants · Manchester#1 in the map pack · 5.0 from 94 reviews · 78 calls and 32 website enquiries
Pinnacle Accountants at the top of the Birmingham map pack, with Google profile and 30-day performance panel
Pinnacle Accountants · Birmingham#1 in the map pack · 5.0 from 135 reviews · 125 calls and 46 website enquiries
Stewart and Co Accountants at the top of the Glasgow map pack, with Google profile and 30-day performance panel
Stewart & Co Accountants · Glasgow#1 in the map pack · 5.0 from 103 reviews · 97 calls and 36 website enquiries
Hayes Accounting at the top of the Leeds map pack, with Google profile and 30-day performance panel
Hayes Accounting · Leeds#1 in the map pack · 5.0 from 87 reviews · 68 calls and 27 website enquiries

These are UK practices — we have captioned them by city rather than implying they are Irish. The mechanism is identical either side of the water.

The written-up ones

Two practices, twelve months, the full numbers

Where the screenshots above show the mechanism, these two are written up end to end — real firms, real figures, verified against each practice’s own analytics.

The shape of it

What actually happens, in the order it happens

Averaged across accounts. Your own months will be messier than this — every one of them is.

WhenWhat movesWhat it feels like
Month 1The site goes live and the profile gets rebuilt. Reviews start being requested. Search results barely move — Google has only just noticed anything changed.Quiet. Expect nothing and you will not be disappointed.
Months 2–3Reviews land in volume and the rating moves. First appearances in the map pack for the easier searches. Enquiries begin arriving through the site rather than the phone. The first “where did that one come from?”
Months 4–6Map position settles into the top three for the main searches. Content starts picking up the longer questions. Usually one month in here goes backwards, and the report says so.Enquiries become something you can count on.
Months 7–12The rating is now the highest or second highest locally, which changes who rings. The conversation shifts from getting enquiries to filtering them. You turn one down for the first time.
Year twoPosition and rating are hard for a competitor to overtake quickly, because both are built on things that take a year to accumulate. Maintenance costs less effort than the climb did.It stops being a project.

The other side of it

Five things this page does not prove

Every results page on the internet leaves these out. Ours does not, because you are going to think them anyway.

What a page like this impliesWhat is actually true
Reach“These numbers are what you will get”A firm in a city of 200,000 tells you very little about a town of 6,000. Your own search volume is in the audit — get that before you believe any of this.
Selection“Every client looks like this”These are the accounts worth showing. Some grow slowly, and a small number we have told to stop paying us because three months passed with nothing moving.
Attribution“Enquiries are the same as fees”We can get the phone to ring. Whether it converts depends on who answers and how fast — which is why response time is in your monthly report rather than quietly omitted.
Sample“Every review here is from an accountant”Our client base spans professional practices and local service businesses. Accountancy is the specialism, not the entirety, and implying otherwise would be the first dishonest thing on this page.
Timing“It looks like this from month one”Nothing meaningful moves before about ninety days. Any results page implying otherwise is showing you month nine and calling it month one.

Results vary by practice, market and starting position. Nothing here is a guarantee of a specific outcome — it is evidence the system works, and honesty that your own numbers will be your own.
