What this means locally

The national picture, in Co. Dublin

Nationally, 83.6% of Irish accountancy practices do not appear in the top ten results when someone searches for an accountant in their own town, and 61.1% of the questions Google surfaces on those searches are about cost — a question 92.7% of Irish accountancy websites do not answer anywhere.

The study found the gap between Dublin and the rest of Ireland to be much smaller than expected: 13.5% of Dublin practices are completely invisible against 16.5% elsewhere. Invisibility is a national pattern rather than a rural one.
